EWE contracts Siemens Energy to supply the large-scale electrolyser in East Friesland

EWE Hydrogen (DE43A) is building one of Europe’s largest hydrogen production facilities in Emden. Siemens will supply a 280-megawatt electrolysis system as the centerpiece of the plant, which is scheduled to go into operation in 2027, producing approximately 26,000 metric tons of green hydrogen per year for various applications.
