HDF Energy cuts ribbon on high-power fuel cell factory in France
Industrialisation will be launched in 2026, with a targeted annual production of 1 GW by 2030.
Hydrogene de France SA (HDF Energy) (FR27), has cut the ribbon on what is described as the world’s first high-power hydrogen fuel cell factory that will produce 1-MW-plus fuel cells. The plant is located in Blanquefort, near Bordeaux, France, on the site of a former Ford gearbox manufacturing plant. Industrialisation will be launched in 2026, with a targeted annual production of 1 GW by 2030.
